Gif Making (PHOTO 2 PROJECT)

Image
I'm in Photography 1. My teacher, Mr. Klein, brought me over to his computer and showed my a few Gifs that Photography 2 created. He then asked me if I would be interested in making a Gif myself. After showing me how to do it, I proclaimed "Challenge accepted". Here I am, a week and a half later, with my first ever Gif made in Photoshop. I'm really proud of it, though I m aware that improvements could've been made. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this JIFF.

Weird Splice Dog (Photo Combination)

Image
Yes, I'll admit. This isn't Davinci's finest, but the dogs don't like standing still. Plus, this wasn't supposed to be realistic in the first place. That being said, I did manage to create something. My original plan was to combine a half from both dogs, and combine them to make what my dad described as "a very strange looking dog".  And he would've been right if that plan had come to fruition. But instead, we have this still admittedly strange dog right here. Just enjoy what I've created. I'm sure you will. INDEX PRINT

Photoshop Tutorial Questing (and Critique)

Image
For this blog post, I'm went and found some Photoshop tutorials because I was told too. We were supposed to do two, but I did three because I'm an over-achiever. So here they are! Tutorial 1: Non-Destructive Lens Flare Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVGxwlqpG5E This trick, while not doing much in the way of unique aesthetics, does teach something that is very practical in its function. This may be a tutorial that I'll actually use in the future for future projects. This trick it the Non-Destructive Lens Flare. Normally in Photoshop, a lens flare has to be placed on the same layer as the subject. This means that when you save, that lans flare will be stuck there, unable to be removed or modified. This is an issue, as you never know when you would want to change how the Lens Flare looks or if the image looks better without it.So this chap, one Aaron Nace from the Youtube channel Phlearn, showed us Photoshoppers (new word) how to create a Le...

Semester 1 Reflection

Part 1: When it comes to the quality of my work, I like to think I do pretty well. I spend a fair amount of time on projects, making sure that the final image looks right. Especially with projects involving Photoshop, I hear people tell me how good I am. And while I believe my skill in this field is above average, I still feel there's much more I can learn. But I'll save that for later. Whenever using Photoshop, I have a habit of making every little detail as perfect as it can be. Sure, this may come off as a negative thing, but I make sure not to obsess over these minutiae details. That being said, I still get disappointed when I discover that I've overlooked an artifact or error in the photo that is to late to fix, so maybe my attention to detail could use some improvement. Nevertheless, I will probably continue to not only remain the same, but improve over the sequel to last semester. This kind of falls into my previous paragraph. I put a fair amount of effort into ...
